About LaHabra 25 lb. Fog Coat Stucco Coating – X-23 Aspen
LaHabra Fog Coat in X-23 Aspen is a soft, neutral beige that works well on homes needing a color refresh—without the complications of paint. It’s a dry-mix, cement-based formula that bonds directly to unpainted stucco surfaces. Once applied and cured, it becomes part of the wall, offering consistent color with a matte, chalk-like texture.
Aspen is subtle but never dull. It’s warm enough to complement stone, tile, and wood, yet muted enough to avoid overpowering other design elements. It’s an especially strong fit for ranch-style homes, garden walls, or any property surrounded by natural materials or greenery.
With proper mixing and spraying, the product dries evenly and provides excellent coverage across patched areas or uneven stucco. Two coats are typically recommended for full color depth and coverage. The tone won’t chip, flake, or bubble, even under tough weather conditions.

LaHabra provides a limited warranty on X-23 Aspen and all fog coat colors. This warranty covers material defects when applied under proper conditions—clean, unpainted, and unsealed stucco surfaces. Incorrect mixing, use over sealed or painted stucco, or failure to follow instructions will void warranty coverage. Full warranty documentation is available through LaHabra or your authorized supplier.
LaHabra Fog Coat X-23 Aspen is available only by special order and is not stocked in stores. It must be purchased through authorized distributors. Each 25 lb. bag covers 800–1,000 square feet depending on surface condition and texture. Delivery typically takes between 5 to 10 business days. For large projects, ordering all needed bags in one shipment is strongly recommended to maintain color consistency.
Can I apply Aspen fog coat over old painted stucco?
No. It must only be applied to clean, unpainted, and unsealed stucco surfaces. Paint blocks absorption.
What kind of finish does this fog coat produce?
It leaves a matte finish that looks natural and soft, without any gloss or plastic-like shine.
Is this better than using traditional exterior paint?
Yes. Fog coat becomes part of the stucco surface, so it doesn’t peel, blister, or trap moisture like paint often does.
How do I apply it correctly?
Use a spray setup (manual pump, compressed air, or modified painter’s sprayer) and follow the two-step water mix and strain process.
Can I apply just one coat?
You can, but two coats are usually best for full, even coverage—especially if your surface has patchy spots or discoloration.
