About LaHabra 25 lb. Fog Coat Stucco Coating – X-12 Chablis
LaHabra Fog Coat in X-12 Chablis is a smart solution for updating or color-correcting stucco surfaces without applying traditional paint. Unlike paint, this product becomes part of the stucco layer itself—no peeling, no chipping, no thick coating. It’s a cement-based formula designed to spray directly onto unpainted stucco, blending the color right into the surface.
X-12 Chablis is a gentle rose-tinted hue with a warm undertone, offering just enough character to soften walls while keeping things refined. It’s an excellent match for properties with Mediterranean, Southwestern, or transitional design features.
This fog coat is applied with a sprayer, and the mix is simple: combine one 25 lb. bag with water in two stages, stir well, strain, and spray. The finish is natural-looking, breathable, and matte—perfect for hiding patchy weathering or refreshing older stucco without a full resurfacing job.

LaHabra offers a limited warranty for its Fog Coat products, covering defects in material when applied properly. This includes adherence to all surface preparation, mixing, and application guidelines. Surfaces must be clean, dry, and unpainted. Use of the product outside of its intended application or incorrect mixing voids the warranty. Full details are available upon request from LaHabra or authorized distributors.
This product is available as a special order only and is not stocked at standard retail locations. Customers should place orders through authorized LaHabra distributors. Each 25 lb. bag is made to cover up to 1,000 square feet, depending on surface texture and porosity. Standard lead times apply; expect longer delivery windows for custom or less common colors like X-12 Chablis.
Can LaHabra Fog Coat be applied over painted stucco?
No. It must only be applied to unpainted, unsealed stucco surfaces. Paint or sealants prevent the product from bonding properly.
How long does it take to cure completely?
Initial curing starts right after application. Full curing takes a few days, and light water misting 24 hours after application helps improve the process.
Will the color fade in direct sunlight?
Chablis holds up well in UV exposure, thanks to its cement base. It won’t flake or peel like paint, and the color stays true longer.
What sprayers work best for application?
You can use a hand pump, compressed air sprayer, or modified airless painter sprayer. Make sure the material is strained before spraying.
Can I use this to change my stucco to a completely new color?
No, Fog Coat is best for refreshing or blending existing tones. For full color changes, LaHabra recommends Allegro Cement Coating.
